Kingsley R. Chin, M.D.
Dr. Chin is a Board Certified Orthopaedic
Spine Surgeon who spent four years as a fulltime academic spine surgeon at the University
of Pennsylvania where he was recruited to be the Chief Spine Surgeon. Dr. Chin completed
medical school at Harvard with honors. His residency training in orthopaedic surgery
was also at Harvard, and his spine fellowship was at Case Western Reserve University
under the mentorship of Dr. Henry H. Bohlman. Dr. Chin graduated from Columbia University
prior to medical school with a concentration in mathematics and was the Ivy League
Player of the Year in Division I soccer. He graduated from Columbia School of Engineering
where he majored in Electrical Engineering and was the Senior Class President.
Dr. Chin has published books and articles for the benefit of teaching residents and other surgeons and helping to educate patients. Dr. Chin is an inventor with 23 issued and pending patents on spinal devices. He recently invented the MANTIS minimally invasive pedicle screw system, as well as the FacetFuse, a minimally invasive facet screw system approved by the FDA in 2008.
